"Average temp" here for this date is 59. It was 39 when I left the house. "Average precipitation" here is downpour. It is downpouring now.

 

Wifey has an idea (of which I've just been informed). Which translates to "Bill just got his marching orders". She stopped by a local market yesterday and got 2lbs of scallop's, 1 lb "Jumbo shrimp" (contradiction in terms), pasta, and the stuff to make Alfredo sauce. Looks like we'll be popping the cork on a couple bottles of wine, eating seafood Alfredo, sitting under the canopy next to the bonfire, AND THEN FALLING ASLEEP EARLY. Hope she got some good bread to go with the meal!

We got a couple inches of snow yesterday. It'll be gone soon though.

 

Just dropped my son off at school. I’m working from home, so no weather complaints from me.

 

People were driving like it was snowing.

That’s what I’m doing today. Subs have been referring to me as the “chicken guy”.

 

One of my employees has his own language. We refer to it as "Stevelish". He just sent through a vacation request for later this month. He want's to use 3 of his "personality days".

I said yes. It's simpler that way.

 

Every year about this time, this bit of TV lore makes it's triumphant return.

 

Ask him to fill out three forms so it doesn't confuse him.

 

I just give him 3 days and go one with life. These people are either lacking in gray matter or the smartest damn people on earth. Either way, out of my league.

 

I get personality days also. It’s when I’m being such an asshole that I get asked to go home.

 

Duck season opens tomorrow. Leaving here in a few hours to camp out at my spot for tomorrow. Hoping this cold front brings birds with it. It’s going to be 34 degrees overnight here.
