True story....many years ago when their now adult children were young they asked us to be their kids guardians/god parents if something happened to them. We said sure.

Fast foward several years. We're all at my nice BIL and SIL's wedding reception. There was an open bar. I think I had 2 beers and my wife had one mixed drink over the course of several hours. The EVILs left with their kids early because, "the alcohol and music were not compatible with our values".

A about a week later we got a hand written letter from them stating that our values seemed not very compatible with theirs and that they had removed us as god parents and found a couple at their church to take our place

 

BTW...just to clarify.

My wife's older brother and wife are the nice ones who live here in Chicago. Super cool. We love them dearly .

My wife's older sister and husband are the EVils. They always show up late and make a grand entrance. They're loud. They dominate every conversation. Their 3 adult children ear all the food. They're very difficult to be around
