Her boy friend, who will be 18 soon, moved to KY about 18 ago from Ohio. So his Ohio learner's permit is invalid here. He's made no attempt at a KY license. Completely uninterested in driving....despite having parents (both doctors) who said they would buy him a car.

Does not compute for a guy my age. :der:

I can agree with that. That one doesn't make any sense to me either. I'd assume he is atleast holding a job though, right?

Nope. Mom seems a little over protective. That's probably not helping things. Money is not an issue. So he has little motivation to seek a job.

The expectations are that he will go to med school...following in both his parent's foot steps. So they want him to focus on his studies.

Wow for some reason that irks me. I don’t know if you agree with that or not but that is how my generation has been really screwed up. No work ethic no respect for workers and complete attitude of entitlement.

Same thing happened to my chic too. Doctor said that the contacts are rubbing a groove into the surface of her eyes from the contacts resting on them for so long. She never slept in them but shes had bad vision since grade school. Shes scared to try lasik surgery, I don't blame her..

It's alright though, shes got a hot librarian look with the glasses:drool:

Same here. Been an Oakley fan boy since forever. Then my last pair fell apart. The carbon fiber delaminated from the metal temples. Said they were only covered for a year. $400! I was pissed to say the least. We have optical insurance at mine and my wife's work. That way I can get prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and she can get contacts and eyeglasses every two years. I still have a nice pair of Oakley sunglasses. They have an orange base lens so I'm still able to wear them at night.

So when my work glasses went to shit I switched to Ray's. Longer warranty and the parts are replaceable. I thought they'd be too small for my giant head but they are great.

    Plus they match my eyes.

I get transitions of course, and all the other treatments plus mine are progressive. Without insurance I could never afford them. But I am super particular about clear vision so I don't scrimp here. Like you they have to fit like a glove! These do!

I broke a pair of Oakley's that were out of warranty and the lady at the shop told me to call Oakley that they would replace them. I called and he told me that there was a $50 frame evaluation fee for it. If they could fix them they would and if not they would just send me a new pair. Also told me they couldn't receive glasses with rx lenses in them by California law so I'd have to remove them before sending them in. Said it would be a 3 week turn around time. I couldn't wait that long so I bought a pair on eBay from a eyeglass place and put my lenses in them myself.
