    Tire shopping...I've had 2 sets of Cooper STT PRO's in a row. Extremely happy with them, but....

    I have this gene that makes me predisposed to trying anything different just to be different. May go another direction this time around. Love mud tires for their ability in the worst conditions. Don't like their wear characteristics so much though...Just thinking out loud here. We were doing a 2 week west coast trip this spring. With retirement at the end of July, we're looking at a much longer trip later in the year (time wise) and more of them in the near future,.

    So...Looking for high mileage "hybrid" but NOT Duratracs. OK.

    Opinions?

    The Maxx's look like a nice tire, I think @Unchained 5150 has them, or did, maybe he can comment further. I am considering those when the AT3s wear out.
