Has anyone added a defroster to their cap and tapped into the mirror switch?

I'd stay away from that power source..it's already tasks with other systems and messing with the juice to the Main Body ECU is an invite to problems.

Use the towing brake pigtail, it's power wire is always "hot". Place fuse and relay for your defroster to that wire. Pigtail has illumination wire also and ground wire. Add-a-fuse to power outlet for ACC relay activation.

    Cool. Thank you.
Wasn't planning to use the mirror switch as the power source, just a signal source for a relay. So will probably do that and pull 12v from brake line
