2019 silver Tacoma

Just had an ARE cap put on my new 2019 Tacoma. ordered the cap with strip LED lights which really do a great job lighting up the inside of the cap. The lights come on when I open the back window of the cap. The company that installed it wired the lights in the cap to only come on when my parking lights are on. I am finding it a pain to have to go cut the parking lights on so the lights in the cap will come on. Any suggestions on the best way to wire the cap lights so they will come on without me having to turn on my parking lights? Thanks in advance for your help.
