Throwing my hat into the search:

I’m looking for a shell for a 3rd gen. DCSB preferably MGM but willing to paint. Leer 100XQ or XL, ARE z series.

I have an OEM tri-fold tonneau cover I would be willing to trade.

Located in the Myrtle Beach area and willing to travel a bit.

 

I am looking for a Black ARE Z series or other brand equivalent for a 3rd Gen DCSB. Michigan or surrounding area.

 

I’ve noticed a few folks recently looking for ARE Z Series. A good shell ... looks great, decently finished. However, if you even occasionally carry bulky loads under the shell, check some online pictures of the rear window hinges. They intrude quite a bit into the rear opening, unlike almost any other shell ... in ARE’s line, they are unique to the Z Series. Combined with the considerable slope of the rear window, I does limit what you can cram in there a bit. I have one, it came with my used 3rd gen, but I wouldn’t buy one, though I’ll admit to being more of a function over form guy.

 

Same scenario for the Leer XQ. They look the best, but the least functionality. No windoor option on the Leer XQ either, not sure about the ARE Z.

 

No windoors for Z Series either.

 

Yeah I'm having to go with a V, dunno if I want to take the plunge yet as for the same price can do bedrails and a cheaper RTT. "The V series cap as you designed would be $2,185 plus tax. That includes standard installation and paint, also the Outsdoorsman Windoor are included at $145 per side".

 

Looking for a 3rd gen tacoma short bed cap, silver. PM for any leads.

 

ISO a High-Top camper shell for a 1st gen. regular cab (6ft bed). Located in Gunnison CO about 5 hours from Denver.

 

The only reason I am trolling for a ARE Z series is (1) it has the best aestetics with a good lines and (2) I intend to flip between a tonneau and cap and don't want to pay full freight to do that. The ARE dealer scolded me for wanting to frequently remove the cap and change to tonneau. He stated that no cap is made for that on/off type of use. Since I don't really NEED a cap and simply WANT one, I want the one that has the best look. I really only want it for hunting/fishing trips and want the tonneau the rest of the time.

 

ISO 2nd gen short bed shell, preferably "super white" to throw on my '08 double cab.

 

Looking for a black shell for my 2nd gen DCSB.

 

3rd gen DCSB, any color ???
