We saw a ton of seals last year. I see enough shark week to know who else is hanging around out of site.

They now have 4.6 miles of beach open!

I’ve heard the flies were bad this weekend. Bring some off.

make sure you have the following, the rangers will inspect for these:

    Valid Drivers Lisc
    Valid State Inspection
    Insurance
    Full size spare
    Jack
A plank for your jack (traction boards ok)
Tire gauge thst can go to 5psi
    And a tow strap

Also would be helpful to have a radio in your truck. Last year we all used Baofang UVF radios that worked well. Amazon says they can still get one to my house by Thursday.

BaoFeng UV-5R Dual Band Two Way Radio (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007H4VT7A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6p9vFbVK1RBZ2

    :angrygirl:

Everything happens in September! I wouldn't be able to get there until like midnight Friday night at the earliest, with everything else we have going on. :( GAH this makes me sad.

Actually. TBD. Depends on some other things falling in place, I might be able to make it out Saturday night.

those are locals, not chum. You cannot use them for shark bait. We’ve discussed this before mister :D

Is there a itinerary for the weekend? I have to get the ORV permit in person so I was going to do that first thing Friday morning seeing that the campground check in is at 12 I believe.

I’m arriving at about dinner time Friday. I plan to find some clam chowder and pitch tent.

I’m planning to get a permit whenever everyone is up and ready to roll, probably 8-9? Hit the cumbies by the ranger station for gas, water, coffee. Head to the ranger station.

First stop out to race point and the light house then work our way south.

i want to make sure we hit high head beach. The dune is a nice challenge to get up and the beach can be a challenge. It’s not a solo journey, or at least not last year.

Beyond that, it’s a day at the beach. Keep your truck dry, apply sunscreen and if it’s not fun, don’t do it.

Great picture taking spot over at high head. That’s wheee I sunk my truck in the sand last year too lol

I’ll be there tomorrow afternoon - Sunday. Don’t be afraid to come to my site and say hi!

ALSO, I’ll be on CB channel 4 all weekend. Hit me up!

Dude it was a blast! Already had plans on the books for this weekend for quite a while now though.

Not sure how long the ORV sections stay open but I might try to make it down later in the fall.

This seems like an interesting thing to go to, since I live close-ish. But I have stuff planned this weekend. Hopefully next year...
