At the time share my in-laws had in Yarmouth. We drove down both days. It's a 45 minute drive, but a decent time. We spent the night in P-town and then went back to the beach before it closed.

Anyone have preference for Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday. Could also make it just a day trip.

Who's planning on going? I want to get a list going so I get an idea of the size of the group. And if you are going, do you plan on coming for a day or staying overnight? We'll have to find and pay for a campground.

The current map is only showing P-town as open but I'm sure there is still some fun to be had. With that said this will be a one day trip but an early day so we can all get registered at Racepoint Beach. Let's make it the 30th. Please respond if you are going.

I think I'm going to have to postpone this trip. Looking at the map of what is available to drive, this is going to be a 1 day trip now. Also, I did not take into account that it is going to be 4th of July weekend so traffic to get out there will be ridiculous and I don't think it'll be worth the hassle. If any of you have an idea of when you would like to go please post it up and we can figure it out.

I lost track of this but I just looked and all of race point beach is closed to ORVs so probably best to wait anyways.

Been caught up on Sandy Neck during a really high tide. We got pinched off at road 5 till 2am. I slept in the camper shell, the patrol woke me then they let us stay as we we're way to tired

I bought the season pass last year and we were actually able to get out to the beach on July 4th week, but there was MAYBE 300 feet of beachfront open. The drive out to the beach is pretty fun, but the days of being able to drive from Race Point all the way to Long Nook are OVER. If some of the residents down there get their way, you will not be allowed to drive the beach at all. The closure used to be for a few weeks during nesting season, but lately it has been the entire summer and past Labor Day. We did go last fall in October and were able to drive from Race Point to Exit 8, but honestly that is about a 20 minute ride.

I feared that. Some of the guys at my unit get passes there and Duxbury as well. It seems like it's turned into a parking spot on the beach rather than actual oversand beach driving.
