It sure is nice having 4 Toyota dealerships within 12 mile radius. I was on my way to capistrano toyota, they sent me a flyer with 15% off parts when buying on sat. On my way to purchase my spark plugs as usual the 5fwy south stopped. Got me thinking about how they always seem pricy. with that free time, I called another dealer, they quoted me $3.82 per plug. Thank god I did. when i got there, they quoted me $7.52 per plug. i started laughing, said forget it and told him of the other dealer, so i asked him, Are they copper, platinum. nope. normal plugs. I purchased 3 oem oil filters $3.99 each. while in line he called aother dealer and confirmed I wasnt lying and agreed to price match.

In conclusion, If you have options like we do here, make calls, and go armed. it just might pay off..
p.s. this is the same dealer that's offering cabin filter replacement for $89.00.. wahoo, what a deal.

They first appeared as FAMILY Toyota years ago, 1998 I think, and I thought it would be great to have a closer dealer as Penske had not been created yet.
    Wrong. Service dept sucked.
Bought a Rav4 abd a 2007 Tacoma from them but found that the Service still sucked and the parts guys were rude.
Tustin gets all my business now even though it is up the 5 from me.

I agree, Tustin good option. i also avoid Irvine Toyota. I have found Toyota of rancho santa Margarita reasonable. thats who I called for the plugs. They (parts) are even open on sundays. they are closer then tustin. worth a shot.

That is installed for those who can't open their glove boxes.
Tustin charges $69 which is still a joke so I just do it myself and laugh when they try and sell it to me when servicing.
Dealers make money on extras that aren't really needed by selling to the ignorant.
Just a fact no matter how good the dealership is.
