Do you have gussets on your sliders where they connect to the frame?

Yes. I bought the pre-welded TG sliders, which have gussets.

Don't mean to hijack your thread for a post but I wanted to let you know my experience with the crimpers I told you about when we were discussing how bad I am at crimping. :p They are awesome, and I highly recommend them.

Got out to Moab for a quick trip... Helluva trip, too. Left Thursday morning, back late Sunday. Got out there and rode Amasa Back / Captain Ahab, and ran into one of the rad folks from Poison Spider, and saw some sweet new lines to try out. Friday was a fully solo day for me, coworkers were showing up about 2am Saturday morning from Golden, so I kept it easy, but still fun... went out to Klondike Bluffs and did some laps, then felt like taking the truck up the bluffs. Later that afternoon, I did another two laps at Amasa/Ahab... Saturday included Porcupine shuttle, then more Amasa (it's just so easy to get more in!), and Mag 7 Sunday before heading back.

My legs are angry with me right now.

Not a bad way to wake up.

Two things: this Goal Zero thing is the shit. Second thing: non-insulated mug is not ideal.

Rain was the theme of my evening rides. It was about this time that I decided I want to have an awning on my truck.

Bikes, then hauling bikes up rocks.

Finally took the time to get some pictures of the truck. The bed slide system needs to be redone with bearings; I need to rewire the roof lights to come on per side, not all on one circuit; and I'd like to do some minor tweaking to the rotopax mounts and bike rack.

Still can't decide if I prefer flared or flareless. I think I just need to track down a pair of rear flares.

I'll happily give them a home if you do!

The weekend was rad, the extra credit of driving up Klondike Bluffs trail was a blast.

That's funny, the wife and I were in Moab this past weekend as well. Did the Klondike Bluff trail system as well. Looks like you had a great time as well!

    Gah, I miss the gold....

I don't really do any fabrication in the summers, just no time, but if you haven't come up with anything come Novemberish, let's chat.

I'm going to try to sell them all at once first, if they don't sell you can definitely have the rears.

Hey man, great looking truck. I did have one question, what type of brackets did you use to mount that light bar over the windshield? I am looking for some that fit in the door but cannot find any anywhere. Thanks.

Installation was a breeze, but I found the glare to be unbearable, the light would hit the dash and hood and reflect onto the windshield, so I couldn't really see anything.

Awesome new addition to the truck this week...

My dad's company, Timberleaf Trailers, is a dealer for Rhino Rack. They've been an awesome company to work with, they're really excited to be working with us, and it sounds like there might be a partnership for a custom side room awning thing for the teardrops.
    upload_-1_6fd4f806722ed4b63a3edc2fa7956b0ce0a0e956.jpg

Test setup in the street in front of my apartment post-install... Even not knowing how to operate the poles (derp) it sets up in about a minute!
    upload_-1_30ca3e20fc3777e6fac8d036a7c55a27fe39fc4d.jpg

Mounting of the awning came at the sacrifice of three of the perimeter lights... :(
    upload_-1_f3fad70fb23e13e27614845f7a244b88047737f0.jpg

Finally got around to installing the LED strip lights in the bed. I ordered the brighter strips, I think each emitter is like 3w instead of 1w, or something along those lines... Anyway, it's bright. I wanted to go that route since it was going to shine upward onto the carpet, and knew that would sap a bunch of light output. I sprayed the backing of the strips with Super90 spray adhesive to make sure it never falls off.
    upload_-1p_3a12de3f44006e941612b77e162c3009077553b9.jpg

Otherwise, I had my check engine light pop on while sitting in traffic in Moab. Threw the P0420 code, which happened shortly after replacing the upstream O2 sensor... In an attempt to delay replacing the cats, I'm replacing sensor by sensory, little stupid overpriced thing by little stupid overpriced thing. Yesterday I replaced the downstream O2 sensor, disconnected the battery and the yelly-screamy light has been off since. Hopefully that holds true for a while. Gotta sell a bike before I can replace the cats (I'm just gonna do everything while I'm under there). FYI if anyone decides to do that, the OEM nuts for that thing are some weird clusterf*ck of not a hex, weird fitting thing. Only way I could get that asshole off was with vice grips, then just replaced them both with 8mm nuts.

Pics from Saturday... Injured my wrist, and was stir-crazy with three days off last week, so I took a buddy from work up Yankee Hill. He forgot to lock his hubs before we started the trail, and we were wondering why he was having such a hard time getting through the rock gardens. Turns out, locked hubs helps. About halfway up he was getting uncomfortable continuing in his rig, no skids, no lift, no armor... No money to fix broken truck, so he parked and hopped in my truck.

Really, just wanted to set up the awning for pics. didn't really provide much shade, not that it was needed up there, nice escape to the 98 degree weather in town, it was 72 up there.
