Yeah, I'm not really sure what I'll do about that just yet. Gotta get it to the shop and see what I feel like doing to it.

I'm stoked to have it, looks good, and will be super versatile! Plus I'll be one of the very few first gens with Prinsu front to back ;)

Literally one of the best parts besides the many uses it has is the exclusivity of it on first gens. Maybe 5 tops now

    Prinsu time.

Still have some tidying up of minor details on the topper mounting, but otherwise it's good to go.

I don't think I've seen anyone do this on anyone's Prinsu, but one of the features I love about the Rhino Rack and Front Runner racks, is the access holes for hardware. I didn't wanna have to unbolt the cross bar any time I wanted to add or remove a tie down, so to the drill press I went. 5/8" bit, stopped just past the shoulder worked out perfectly.

Makes me want a topper so bad. Once I get into a place I'll look into buying one

I haven't actually measured... It's definitely higher than the last rack, which wasn't my intention, but I'll take the clearance! I'd say it's probably between 6-8" above the rack.

On the bottom is Grand Junction's light... upper right corner is Moab. MOOOAAAAB.

Every now and then I think I don't need the topper... then I drive through rain, or mud, and watch my friends dealing with their stuff all caked in mud, and I feel differently ;) Although I do miss being able to have stuff on the front side of the bed easily accessible.

I just like the look of it. Plus having dry storage and a sleeping platform in the back would be great! Then with just camping trips I'd throw the RTT on the top. But not wheeling because of it being too high

Dry storage is king. I've slept on the platform once, and will likely never do that again... totally worth the 3 minutes it takes to set up my ground tent to have space to sit up... it's sooo cramped in the cab-height topper with the platform. Maybe a shell with the bump would be more manageable with a platform, but I currently have about 23" of head space from platform to ceiling, and 20-1/4" of space in the "doorway".

I think if I had a RTT, I'd go the route of a bed rack, rather than on top of the shell, personally. I'm not a huge fan of the RTT aero-brick...

Yeah I'd have both, bedrack/RTT and the a shell. Use one according to the season so I don't have to pack a wet RTT away

Word. My goal this winter is to figure out how to mount an awning with the softopper on like we discussed at your place.

Then I'm getting an OZ tent :stirthepot:

    Dude. Yes.

I was daydreaming a while ago about building a custom frame for a softopper, kind of like the AllPro Pack Rack, but meant to be wrapped with the canvas so it can support a bolt-on roof rack, and not inhibit access to cargo as much as the softopper frame does.

HA! I obscured the rear, then didn't feel like it on the front. If you look closely at the rear it's all wonky

I thought it was odd there wasn't three numbers and 3 letters, but apparently didn't notice the wonkyness.

There's a ton of pics on here with my license plate, don't quite understand hiding them...

I don't normally bother, but since I planned on posting those two up on IG, I figured I'd take a few seconds and fiddle with it. I think I made it say "ColoradCol" or something :anonymous:

This thread needs some updates. :spy:

Can you keep one setup for more than a month or two?

I'm physically incapable of such a task.
