I have put in Racesport gen3 leds I'm the process of doing a custom audio overhaul which will include Hybrid audio unity 6x9 mid bass, unity 3 inch mid driver in the dash and fiberglassing tweets in pilar soundeading all the doors, floors, and headliner and I will be using a helix processor to retain the factory radio and as far as subs I might make custom brackets to move rear seat foward a few inches to get a full size sub in there or I might just go with a pair of jl tw5 or tw3 and it will all be powered by jl audio HD amps or I might try out the new hybrid amps
Thank you I’ve been Fabricating for some time, I try to avoid fiberglass when ever possible but when I do use it I try to make it a clean and easy as possible

Tacoma Audio rescue! Not all audio installers are the same this truck was brought to me after getting a sound system installed elsewhere. The owner was disappointed in the sound and wanted to get it Checked out to see what we can do to make It sound better. upon diagnosing I found that they did a hack job. They cut factory harnessing the two sound digital amps were just thrown in and loosely mounted with a drywall screw into the carpet, the power wire was ran on the side of the factory grommet instead of through it as a result the power wire was exposed to sharp metal edges. The front speakers were installed in the improper brackets that they self tapped in the tweeters were installed inside of the original Dash speakers which were cut up to allow this and to top it off the original Speaker basket was shorting out the Alpine tweeters because positive and negative terminal were both touching the metal basket They also did not use the supplied crossovers from Alpine and instead used the Toyota factory, capacitor for midrange as a sort of bass blocker, which resulted in blown tweeters the subwoofers were over gained, and one of them was blown the battery had oxidation on it and they just added there power wire instead of cleaning it after explaining all of this to the owner, we decided to start fresh and redo everything although he had just gotten in installed, I put the truck as close as I could to factory by repairing the factory harness I could. It solder since Toyota used aluminum wire so I used marine heatshrink butt connectors with noalox anti corrosion si electric paste in them, sold him the proper equipment to make his truck rock, which included a T harness for behind the radio audio control LGD, a audiocontrol, five Channel to replace the sound digital the new Alpine R series 6x9 components rear Alpine S series coaxes , two brand new audiocontrol, space series shallow subwoofers new OFC wiring, the proper brackets for his speakers and made proper mounting brackets for the tweeters and added gasket tape to both brackets and speakers This truck is a night and day difference in sound and both install.

Yet another Tacoma audio rescue, this customer had a system put in a few years ago at a local competitor and he was never really satisfied with the sound, he cam in and I noticed he had no front midbass and the tweeters were off, when I took the doors off I found a flimsy mdf soeaker baffle that was completely warped from water damage, the tweeters were out of phase, the rear speakers were cut out so they could mount the aftermarket speakers inside of them, I sold him alpine r series components and r series coaxes they correct speaker adapters and they were all ran off of a alpine Sa-55v amp that I forgot to take picture of
