    Hey All,

Looking into replacing some speakers for my '19 Tacoma from the not-so-amazing stock speakers it comes with. If anyone has some suggestions for a good quality (prefferably lpug and play) speakers, I'm willing to take some advice.

I've read on here that if anything is a MUST to replace, the tweeters are the absolute thing to swap out, and then the front speakers. I'm not looking to throw an AMP or subs in anytime soon, but maybe later on.

    Thanks :)

With the stock headunit alone you'll be disappointed with almost all speaker swaps.

The stock stereo puts out very little power, which is why the stock speakers are neodymium magnets and ultra thin paper cones. Very little mass to move, not much motor needed.

You toss in bigger speakers that are built to take 10x the power and they'll sound horrible with what the stock stereo is giving them.

My advice is wait and do an amp and speaker swap at the same time, tear the interior apart once, run all the wires once, etc...

Got it... Sounds like this is exactly what I will do.

    Thanks! :)
