Slowly creeping up in the mileage and figured about time to think of replacing the stock battery before it causes any issues. Didn't know if anyone had any leads on anything quality in Southern Ontario...

    Recommendations?

I gotta be honest. My 07 battery lasted me till 2013 or so. And even then, it wasn't the batteries fault it shit the bed. My brake light would stay on even when parked due to a lax brake pedal, and wasted my battery. And even then, I managed to condition the thing back to life to throw in the Sequoia. Don't change it till it gives you issues.

The battery in my last car died without any prior indication: started on the first try in the morning going to work, completely dead in the afternoon coming home. I've since learned to replace the battery every 5 years. Your truck is a 2014? Replace the battery in Oct/Nov 2019, before the winter.

If you want an Optima Red/Yellow Top, the best price is this SK online store: http://agmautobattery.ca/product/8020-164-35/

Screwed up country we live in, where getting a 30-lb battery shipped 2500 km by Canada Post is cheaper than buying one locally. You can then take your old battery to a scrap metal place and get $10-$12 back.

I am in a 2013, and despite spring starting here the truck was cranking more than I wanted to startup. I had the battery tested and it's nearly toast. So your 5 year rule may have some weight to it. Any recommendations for a new battery one? Theres <3 degrees of latitude between Ontario and Boise so I figure a good battery there will deal with our cold here too!
