I lived in one for 59 days with no running water and only Mr. E's to eat once. At night it got so cold our breath would freeze to the ceiling, then my buddy would light a candle melting the frost and it would rain on us. I know what you mean, but I can get one cheap local to me. It would save on material to have something to start with. Plus, It wouldn't stay in issued form anyhow. It would be cool to turn it into a pop up and leave it stocked and ready to go so Friday after work I could just go!

    Sonke's build for inspiration- http://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/travelling-cruisers.245430/

We had one of these at camp. They look pretty, but don't provide much warmth with those 35mph sustained winds. We had another that was just a burner with some lava rock, which kicked ass.

There is a nice campground on the 120 a couple of miles east of 395. I stayed there last summer. It's at the south end of your area, but worth a look.

Funny stuff. There should be a thread dedicated to funny and antiquated laws (there could be one already, but I didn't search).

My fire extinguisher camp shower worked out great last week during Rock Therapy. I put the extinguisher on the camp stove and cranked the heat until the top of the tank was warm to the touch.

I did monitor the pressure gauge while heating the tank as I already had put 100psi in it from my CO2 tank. The pressure did not rise while heating. Well... at least not enough to register on the dummy gauge. The gauge reads zero, 100, and 200psi.

I was cautious of running out of either water or pressure on the first go around so I got wet, soaped up, and then rinsed. After that I let the water run. I ended up running out of water before the air pressure bled off. It works great! :)

I think I have one of these old water extinguishers here in the shop, looks like another rainy day project. Thanks.

'Tis a pity these two aren't enforced still.

In Washington state, there is a "Mutual Combat" law that allows fist fights so long as 1) both fighters consent to the fight and 2) a police office is present to "referee". It actually gets utilized quite often still.

That's what I thought it looked like. Didn't realize you could flow water through an air hose.

Couple more. The Eastern Sierra's is an incredible place and I had the back-country all to myself.
