I don't see a regulator on there, but surely there is?

The regulator is in the form of the shower head and larger diameter tubing. It does not shoot out like the original extinguisher due to the larger bore and lack of a nozzle.

I wish I'd seen this-been pretty busy lately and not reading as often as just scanning.

The area around the east side of Mono Lake is pretty nice. Very sandy but definitely not as busy as the road side.
I've camped around many of the areas though lately, you almost want to stay away from anything popular during the "summer" months. I used quotes because I define it as the time kids are out of school.

Got out and did a little camping. Not the overland kind but still, much needed rest.

A great spot along a short off-shoot road.

Ran into this like minded guy and his dog while cleaning up some beer bottles and other tourist trash. He's local to Mammoth and just out running the dog.

I traveled mostly South to North and the skies were overcast and cloudy. Bits of rain here and there.

Mono Lake never disappoints. And while waiting for some friends, I decided to take a walk around Panum Crater.

On my last night, I thought I'd like a shower. There's a BLM campground out by Indian Creek Reservoir. Well maintained and always hot showers (free).

Great trip but as always, not long enough. I did make some notes on places to go and see. The most promising, in an area I love going-off of hwy 89 near Monitor Pass.

I'm surprised. I would think that the water coming out of the handle would be pretty intense. I suppose the drilling size of the faucet is much smaller than the original opening, so it's taking all of the pressure drop. Either way, a cool setup there. I had started making something similar out of an old B&G pest control sprayer. Metal can like this, but you have to pump it as it's not designed for much pressure.

Hey so I'm picking up an oz trail 4x4 2.5M awning off a buddy on the weekend. My end game is a prinsu rack but time constraints are gonna have me using a thule square bar rack for now. Guys who have their awnings mounted similarly are you just using u bolts? To mount them up ?

All of the orifices are larger than the fire extenguisher, so there's no pressure build up. I get a nice steady shower out of the nozzle. I'll try and get a video next time I have it out.

I will say that if I pressurize the can just past the 100psi mark, say around 125psi, I can evacuate the 2.5 gallons before I run out of air or notice a decrease in the rate of the stream.

If I can ever get a day where I'm not in the office I plan on picking up a few more extinguishers and putting together a couple kits.

I saw you on the 395 as well. Was going the other direction unfortunately or I would have linked up with ya. I love it up there. I spent four days in the Tahoe/Reno area. Was pretty darn fun. Had the wife with me so we spent some time in the City which typically isn't my cup of tea but we each had our fair share of wilderness and City vacationing.

    Rig looks great, have fun!

Just a thought... If you have any routes planned with big rocks or ledges, take a hack saw and cut yer tail pipe off at the last hanger beforehand. I cut mine in one or two minutes flat with a fresh blade and cleaned up with a file.

A lot of people chop it further up, just after it turns down after the axle. That's where i did mine, then it's completely out of the way

I would cut it further like you said, but we have state emissions testing and they get kinda finicky about having to get under the vehicle to hook up the hose
