I can pull from both tanks if I loosen the air valves on the tanks or just one. Not sure I understand your question as you need air to enter the tanks when the pump runs. I found hose from home Depot which fits snuggly through the water opening and curves to the bottom of each tank.

Here is a picture of the valve setup :

The left side goes to the shower head, the middle to the pump and the right to the faucet.

I just put a valve stem on the end to pump air inside the container for pressure to squeeze water out of the hose that I put on the cap end. I'm wanting mine to hold pressure inside (which it does) but it leaks a little around the lid.

Oh, I understand. One of the big complaints online is the leakage. Maybe a liberal amount of plumbers' tape?

Thought about shooting some PVC glue everywhere possible it can leak.

I think you guys are over thinking this. It is pipe, hose, and pipe fittings. That is all. You are not building a rocket. If you have ever done any plumbing around your house, you will get it. If not, go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask around. They usually have a classes available on basic plumbing.

We're talking about leakage around the container itself. Not the piping.

Why would you use a leaky container? There is obviously something I am not getting here...

We don't want a leaky container lol. That's what we're trying to figure out. Mine doesn't leak water, just not air tight. He has a pump, I'm just using air and trying to keep the air inside the jug.

Another question. 6" PVC pipe would work out to just about 1 gallon per foot (48" X 6" = ~961 Cubic Inches = ~4.16 Gallons) (A little less as that assume the interior diameter would be 6"). Why not just use that with a couple of end caps and install the fittings through the end caps or even through the wall of the pipe? Seems like it would be much stronger than the typical plastic jug.

You have to be really careful pressurizing PVC pipe. If it gives out under pressure the broken pieces become shrapnel. Make sure to get schedule 40 or even better shedule 80 pipe and fittings and don't exceed the rating stamped on the pipe.

    Worked quite well too. :D

    Here's the post.

Mine did leak air when pressurized but it still was able to push the water out just fine. Used it 5 or 6 times on the trip. I think if I had more time I would have constructed it with an electric pump vs. being air-powered. I used 4" schedule 40 PVC.
The most expensive parts for the build were the 10' section of PVC and the air regulator @ about $20 each. I bought a $14 standard shower wand & hose and put a shut-off valve in between so it would not run constantly. It holds about 5gal of water and leaving it out in the Desert Sun all day was plenty to make it warm.
Whole deal cost me about $120 give or take...

I would check with the local/regional rangers on bear activity and camping techniques. For example, black bears in Yosemite know what coolers look like and will smash car windows or even peel open a car door to get them. Elsewhere in the Sierra, they have figured out how to open some types of bear canisters. They are very smart. Granted, these areas see lots of human use, but grizzlies...bigger, meaner. I'd check with local experts.
