Hands down, this is one of my most favorite tacomas I've ever seen. Who makes that rear bumper? Did the gas can holders come with it?

I always try to say these out loud if I'm alone. I never know if I'm interpreting it right. :p

Just finished reading through this thread. Lots of beautiful machines and folks with amazing skills. Floppy khaki-colored hats off to ya.:proposetoast:

I will not be building an expedition quality truck.

Not a four-wheeler and won't be driving to Patagonia in the next few years.

Just bought a 2013 SR5 5Lug Xtra Cab :turtleride: to serve as a combination daily driver/base camp vehicle for backpacking and recreational camping.

Ordered my shell, Leer 122 w/ Headliner, Thule Rack & 12V Power Block, and I'll be building a sleeping platform.

As long-time backpacker, I'm pretty dialed on KISS and multifunction in camping equipment but pretty ignorant in how to maximize the utility of my Tacoma.

Obviously as a member of the 4 banger minority I need to avoid permanent weight additions (except my shell), but things like Weathertec mats, Scangauges and K&N air filters have very strong appeal.

Probably will be spending most of my time in the 5Lug section of the forum but this particular thread is near and dear to my heart.

Just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate the insights and experiences represented in this thread (except for one recently banned troll).

Got my indelB fridge the other day, that thing is built nice and gets cooooollld! For the price I'm happy. Ordered some tie downs and insulation wrap for it. Will post up when it's all done.

    FYI: $479 for the 40L

Similar. Ironman 4x4 sells the exact same fridge for $750. The plus side is you can use all their accessories with this fridge. This unit uses the german made motor which is supposed to be of better quality. Has some good reviews overs at expedition portal.
