I was having a conversation with my fiancee the other day regarding my love for overland vehicles, and it got me thinking "what instilled that love for them?"...

Just been through about 200 pages of this thread.... Its my day off.

Being my day off I finally finished designing/printing/installing these 3D printed brackets for the back corners of my bed, I've decided to call them my "turn your damn highbeams off" mounts... also good for reversing in the middle of nowhere. I'll probably move the lights to the back of my rack once I get around to adding a camper shell and roof rack.

(sorry if wrong place for this kind of post)
Considering selling them if anyone is interested. Printed in high strength PETG and they're super solid. nuts and bolts included, $20 shipped. PM me. If enough people want them I'd be happy to do a discounted run too.
(and yes, they could be customized for other applications.) Just mostly seeing if its anything anyone other than me cares about and showing them off :p

So I was able to run a couple saws off of this no problem. It stayed fully charged for the most part. The price tag is kind of bothersome, but the battery alone is a whopping $1,300.

    I'm in love...

Placed everything that was in our 2 big totes into the drawer and didn't even spend time organizing it. I'm sure they'll be a bunch more room once we take the time to pack it.

Last time I needed a wrench and screwdriver it took me over 15 minutes to dig it out. When the driveshaft broke on the mountain, it took forever to get what was needed. When stuff gets pulled out it's like tetris to get it back so the lid would close. Big totes with things stacked on top of each other was a giant pain.

I do believe this will be a game changer and "how did we go so long without it?" type of deal once it gets dialed in.

Nice work. Where did you get the foam and what did you use to do the cutouts?

Foam is from a company called fastcap and they have a little knife and blades that are about 3/16 wide that worked perfectly, and for the finger grips i used a piece of copper pipe i had laying around and heated it up then just ran it over the top where i wanted it. Careful though, a lot of heat goes a long way. :anonymous:

    So beautiful!

It seems that the harder we try to be organized and pack all of our tools and parts and gear into every nook of the truck we also make it more of a chore. It's a PITA to get a screwdriver out for little things when out and about and I usually end up struggling with a pocket knife or something that is easier to get to. All the while kicking myself because I know the screwdriver would get the job done in a couple seconds if it wasn't such a pain to get it out and then pack it back up again.
