Slide is on the bottom of everything (see below). Regardless of top/bottom, with a bedrack and rotopax/maxtrax mounted to the side, there's no way to get to the cargo area at the cab side of the bed short of climbing in.

How is that mounted? That's a lot of leverage on the composite bed with the 100% extension at 550lb.

Yup, I asked this very question. Bolts through the metal crossmembers.

It's done well thus far. I sealed up all the holes on the side, added weather stripping to the back to fill a small gap and have a foam piece that gets put into place while moving.

    It's made by ARB.

That is what I am planning for my truck. Waiting for it to be released.

I feel like that thing is never going to be released. First it was September, then January.... I'm close to giving up

Talked to them earlier and they said they are still on track for the July release. That it has been engineered, just needing to get them built.

One thing I will have to wait and see though... is if it would work with my Total Chaos bed stiffeners...

Good point regarding the TC stiffeners; I'm not removing mine

    I'm in the same boat.

This is why I've waited on bed stiffeners thus far.

I looked at how the Tundra is done and I think the Tacoma will be kinda the same... so by the looks of it, it may just need a slight trim for it to work as you should be able to still use the same points to tie down... but will see what happens. I would be fine with making it work if that means taking a dremel to it.

Yeah I figured if I could make it fit with minimal trimming I'd be fine with that.

I may email them tomorrow to see if they can release any details on how it attaches at the rear. Will include pictures of my bed with the stiffeners on it so hopefully they say it will work.

"Navigating the Basics of Trip Planning: Mapping, Wayfinding, and Tools"

Class description: Many of us love sharing overlanding and enjoy traveling in groups. When traveling with multiple vehicles, logistics can become complicated. To make sure a trip goes smoothly and safely, trip leaders need to do extra preparation work and make every effort to communicate the when, where, and how of a trip. Much of this starts with excellence in route planning. In this class, participants will learn about how to take a trip idea from concept to execution. Instructors will share tools and techniques for identifying destinations and routes, mapping tracks, downloading data to various navigation platforms, and sharing navigation data with fellow travelers. Participants will also learn about research tools, the pros and cons of different mapping platforms, and how to move data across platforms.

I've tried bunch of different platforms. My current favorite is Gaia run on an iPad for route planning.

I'll check bascamp out; I'm haven't played with that one yet.

Gaia has a snap-to trail function that makes route planning so much easier.
