I have a Dometic 65 fridge/freezer that works like a champ, bought it through Amazon for around 700 with the insulated jacket.

Did the Whytner have the voltage monitor on it? Used an ARB for a recent trip and now I gotta get me one, but doesn't need to be an ARB.

We love our National Luna units. Have two 52Liter Weekenders and a 90Liter Weekender. Not the least expensive option out there but rock solid performance.

Depending on length of use and how you manage it....you'll probably end up going with a dual battery's and/or solar. Just saying, you need to keep this mind.
Winter it's doable summer not so much.

Edit: I have dual batteries and solar will be added this summer.

Ya I’m trying to avoid solar and dual battery bc in truth I’ll don’t plan on staying in one spot eaxhxnight. Two days tops

Just seems like good insurance, but if you are on a trip where you are driving every day it's no concern. My trip I was in the truck at least 7 hr's per day, so I never even hit the cut off once. I did buy a jump pack just in case though.

Some favorite shot's from my recent trip:

Agreed. One of the only reasons I added the dual battery. Piece of mind to get home when travelling alone...

sure you could use a booster, but I have had them not turn over a vehicle over time and its pretty scary. With my setup my starting battery is only affected by the regular truck stuff and the winch....everything else is on the second now.

Dude, this is the overland thread. Of course most people run dual battery setups. How else are they supposed to power all those aux lights.
