I'm actually on 18" wheels, so there is no c load.

Thinking of going to a 15, everyone and their mother has the wheels I have. The 15" I'm eyeballing is more scarce

    I've thought about 15s, but every 33" is a good bit shorter than 33. Go from 32.3 - 32.7

There isn't much more narrow availability than what I have now.

I'm just saying a 15 is way more popular than the tire size I have.

I don't even understand that what so ever....20s are ridiculous but have less rubber. 15s are pretty cheap and have more rubber

Maybe it’s the fact you shouldn’t put mud terrains on 18” or 20” wheels so the tire companies make you pay extra for mall crawling..

I’m just playin’. As I said bout tire choice earlier it doesn’t bother me what people do, if it works for you great. Everyone should build their truck suitable for their wants and needs and not buy mods based off of a cult following product. I simply do what works for me. At this point I’m loving my 17” wheels wrapped in 285/75s.. that’s a 34. I loves my 255/80 maxxs but with 17s was lacking a little more sidewall I wanted. This 285/75/17 size dropped and I jumped on them. Imo it completed my wheel/tire combo. I never felt the need to get on the 35 train. I haven’t regeared with the 34s and I have zero issues besides the obvious mpg loss going up in tire size.. And I’ll be a Cooper ST Maxx customer for a long time, this is my third set.

I got on the 35 train but it makes wheeling locally a lot more fun. However now I'm stuck between the hard and meh trails. The hard trails are a winching, skid dragging nightmare with the lack of GC. The easy and medium trails I try and find ways to make them hard. Which is also why I'm considering a few options but I also don't want to loose my highway capabilities. Finding that compromise is tough

That’s where I’m at. I travel anywhere from 4,6,8,10 hrs out of state camping. National Forest trails aren’t like offroad parks but you still need good tread and ground clearance to be prepared for anything. That’s why I’m on 34” All Terrains.

It's the opposite here. We don't have terrain parks and any trails you find at 100% unmaintained and not written down or if they hard they're not easily found. The parks meanwhile are overcrowded with city folk and tourists which isn't all bad cause it leaves a lot of places empty because they're hard to get to in a Subaru lol

If you go 15’s you will never be able to run tundy brakes though if that matters.

Oof. Riding on the rim if on sharp rocks.

Glad you went to 34’s, watching you spit air on rocks with the old setup and still at 18psi was nuts.

Tundy brakes sounds sweet but I don't believe I'll ever do it

You should try “wheeling” with 28” rimz. You don’t have to worry about blowing a tyre cause they are basically solid rubber. The choices are a little limited but it’s worth it to me to know I won’t have a blowout

    DIY Fabricobbler.

It works like bikinis. The smaller and less they cover, the more they cost. I guess it takes more effort to get a small piece of fabric to safely cover the girly bits properly.
Same may be the issue with larger wheels?

I'm on 18" wheels also, Michelin LTX MS/2's P265/60/18's, stock size. Had three slow leaks on them. Good all-around tire, surprisingly good in mud and sand. I have the fulltime 4WD Torsen center diff with the 4Runner 4.7 so maybe that skews things and makes them seem more capable. Definitely need more belts though. The last slow leak, tire repair guy showed me the culprit, it was a paperclip. Wasn't even one of those big triangular paper clips, just your regular medium-sized clip.

I don't want to buy new wheels, LT tires for 18" wheels I want to bump up a size to LT265/65/18, get the precious 1/2" more ground clearance. Same width.

Cooper Discoverer AT/3's Load Range E look alright, $100 cheaper per tire as opposed to BFG KO2's Load Range E. Yokohama Geolandars have done well for me in the past, $170/per.
