...a little over 4 miles after we'd started, we crested the ridge holding back the lake to a view that's worth every minute of the climb. (And descent! - if your knees don't kill you on the way down - :))

here is my experience with shockwarehouse...I posted the same thing on another thread about shockwarehouse:

This is an old post, but I just joined tacomaworld.

I purchased a set of Rancho 9000 XL for 2004 Tacoma from shockwarehouse - my first Rancho purchase. One of the shocks failed within a few months. I contacted shockwarehouse, they told me I have to purchase a replacement shock, return the failed one, then they will issue a refund after examining the failed shock. I followed the instructions, but never heard from them again. I have been contacting them over and over and over again, they keep telling me they will issue a refund, but they never issue it. They keep coming-up with excuses, but they always tell me I should have receive a refund.

As you noted, they are extremely difficult to contact. In my opinion, they suck, are dishonest, are scamming people.
I contacted Rancho and they sounded sympathetic, but did nothing to help. They also confirmed, shockwarehouse is not an authorized dealer. So there is an authorized dealer out there who is selling items to shockwarehouse, but Rancho doesn't know who that is.

on this thread, July 3, 2018 "monkeyface" made a comment about having trouble with shockwarehouse. I didn't really pay attention to the topic of the thread and was just trying to reply to "monkey's" comments.

SE Idaho Part 1: Double Dose of Indian Hot Springs
    July 1, 2019.

The day started out just like any other. Well, any other where the previous included a 12-hour drive from home to the starting point of our next adventure.

So it was that, as we lay in bed, I looked over and said, "I've got an idea."

Hey! Get. Your. Head. Out. Of. The. Gutter.

See, we'd planned to spend the day heading to Indian Hot Springs via the east entrance - a dirt track that we'd been meaning to take since we'd first come to Idaho 18 months ago to pick up the CBI Outback Bumper. Having run our of time, we'd headed straight down to The Maze, Canyonlands, and we'd never made it back. Then, at dinner the night before, Ben reminded me that he and Kirsten had tried to reach the springs via the west entrance - stymied by a rock slide on the final descent down into the valley.

So I proposed to @mrs.turbodb that we try the west route first. And then, if we couldn't make it down, we'd drive around to the east. But if we could - and if we could ford the Bruneau River (since the bridge over the river had reportedly been out for a few years) - then we could do both sides on our way east towards City of Rocks, our next destination.

    Day 2...

As we pulled up to our spot - campsite #4 - at Twin Sisters, a surprise! Tents were already setup in "our spot." And what's this? - someone else's name on the reserved sign. Uh oh. I checked the reservation. Yep - I had a confirmation email, my credit card had been charged. And then, I noticed - we'd reserved spot #64 - as far away from Twin Sisters as you could physically get, a site that I'd looked at but - I thought - only in passing. There'd clearly been a snafu somewhere along the way - either in the web site, or between the keyboard and monitor.

How'd we get here and what did we see? Check it all out in Day 2: We Take Up Residence in Idaho's City of Rocks

    Day 3

We explored leisurely before heading back to the truck and continuing on our way through the maze of roads that wound up, around, and through the forest - in and out of trees, across wildflower filled meadows, and to several spectacular viewpoints. Even destinationless and meandering, it turned out to be my favorite part of the trip so far.

Check out what we saw and read how our day developed: From City of Rocks to Craters of the Moon

    July 4, 2019.

Our trip to SE Idaho complete, we started heading towards home. Of course, we'd never make it - a stop at Ben and Kirsten's @m3bassman being our jumping off point for another several-day adventure in their home state.

......We didn't pause long at any given site however - trucks pulling trailers and boats headed both ways along the road, prompting us to continue on. In fact, as had been true most of the day, there was so much traffic that Ben and Mikey didn't even stop as we passed what was perhaps the epitome of the #insta-overlanding boom that we find ourselves in these days - I mean, you can't get much more over-land than an airplane, can you? LOL.

...I didn't get going all that fast, but even at 15mph or so, when you've got the right depth of water, the effect can be dramatic. Everyone loved it, I think. I know I did. :)

You know you want to see the rest, and hear about the snow we encountered. Check it all out at Stuck in the Snow! Washington Basin
