Oh Oh, here come the personal attacks instead of focusing on the issues pointed out in the article.

Who's up for some doxing next?

Nope, no personal attack. It's called years of driving experience recognizing the structure and build quality of a piece of production. Not nit picking over a part being plastic.

I agree there needs to be more midsize trucks, I hope all the manufactures step up the game, but I still believe yota tacos will be at the top.

Hmm., I have the heated mirrors and that is very utilitarian here in Maine. Don't have any of the other stuff on my TRD Sport trim, well I do have the stupid waste of space and materials wireless charger.

For those who are wondering why the manual is so slow in the 50-70 test, it's because they basically floor it at 50 and time it to 70 regardless of whether it's an auto or manual.

The Automatic equipped truck downshifts to accelerate whereas the manual truck is left in whatever gear it was in (usually 3rd or 4th depending on which gear will get it to 70) so it is being lugged and is an absolute dog until it gets going.

True, I believe heated mirrors are much more used than a wireless charger even power seats. But people never talk about how good that is. Just always bashing about some howling holes like children.

Utilitarian - I remember seeing a ad for a Ford Ranger back in the mid 90's. The option were cloth seats. Thats it, not whoa baby getting fancy.

Every car used to have radio as an option, some still do. Times change.

Of course. Just poking fun at the "modern" definition of utilitarian.

I agree with that. No US truck is utilitarian these days.

I would be happy with 4 cup holders if they actually would hold my freaking water bottle.

Oh and no crawl control with the manuals, and this article makes it clear that you need the manual.

Sure, it's not a 1945 Power Wagon, but the truck is less fancy than it's competitors as C&D pointed out. Much less than what lots of folks get these days.

Definitely lots of good in there for sure! I think maybe you are mistaking the Lower A Arm noise that has been corrected with the Howling Rear Diff which has not been corrected yet. I cannot recall any recent Threads where anyone complained about the A Arms unless it is a brand new member that we were able to help.

I own 4 different cars each different style and manufacturer,. One I drive the most is 2012 base taco. For comfort and fun factor
    It's best.
