If you read car and driver on a regular basis you will see that they almost always prefer/recommend the manual on a vehicle if it's an available option. They even have a campaign to "save the manuals" that they will occasionally write articles about.

Plus the Colorado holds 2 more makeup kits than the Taco for storage 11 instead of 9. its a deal breaker.

I was starting to feel like the bastard child because I actually like heated & vented seats that electrically adjust in multiple directions as well as power windows, locks & heated mirrors. I'm also a huge fan of safety technology and will willing be buying vehicles equipped with autonomous breaking, lane keeping assist & dynamic cruise control etc.

Love the Heated Seats, if they had a Heated Steering Wheel on the Tacoma l would have got that too.

I'd bet peeps said the same about horseless carriages too...

Besides that, even if true, I'm ok with paying for safety. I'm all about preserving the Joey.

How about the stone massaging seats like in Mercedes or seats that tilt in the turns ? Gotta have the color changing led interior lights.

I've used ventilated seats before, and have to say I really like those too - you know because of back sweat....

With you 100%. It's a pretty common option or configuration across the TM brand and pretty inexpensive even as a stand alone option. Surprised it's not offered.

So pretty much useless info then as parameters changed. I wonder about their other comparisons then. o_O

Yes, I agree 100% KISS is huge but electronics have a much lower failure rate than mechanical parts. Most of these new fangled things are electronic.

Having said that, I still don't like all the nanny stuff going into new vehicles.

Pretty tough to institute a precision and controlled environment for these types of measurements.

agreed, and this is why it's pretty tough to give too much weight to their info.

And when a test is performed side by side with the 3rd gen vs 2nd gen, and the 3rd gen loses by a big margin, the test is decried by the White Knights as a "hack" video :lalala:
