Back in the day my mom had a white 1984 Buick Regal like this. My dad worked with a guy who bought the turbo version in white. They swapped hoods so my mom got the cool power bulge hood and the friend of my dads got the flat hood. He wanted his car to have a sleeper look. Lol

Coincidentally this happened identical in a snowmobile. My mom had a 1973 Rupp 340 Sport. My dad worked with a guy who had a 1973 Rupp Nitro 340, the hotter racier version. They also swapped hoods because the guy wanted his sled to have a sleeper look.

So, the other cool thing about Canada ... is that there were actual Chevelles produced in Canada. Much lower production numbers. And are somewhat highly sought after.
The Beaumont Community I was in was all about Canadian Produced cars, not just Beaumonts. Was very cool stuff..

 

When l was in aviation school one of the instructors had a White T-Type Regal, was beautiful.

 

had that happen to me in a S10 with a body lift. racing it in a "tough truck" race before a monster truck show. off a jump and felt like id bent a few suspension components... but no there were no bolts in a few of the mount holes.

Gotta tell ya, I was super skeptical of the Buick Grand National in 1987 with the old man tan and mini power bulge on the hood.
One of my shipmates had one and he said it was faster than my 1986 GT 5.0 5 speed.
I got to drive his GN (stock) and was very surprised of the amount of torque that it had. A bit of turbo lag but not bad.

 

T-Type was basically a Grand National without all the showy bits.

 

A friend of mine has an ultra-rare '87 Turbo-T Buick. His is a 'Turbo-T Limited'. Basically, a T-Type Regal, but optioned up like a Cadillac...total sleeper. Leather Lazy-Boy seats, shifter on the column, 10" strip of chrome on the lower body, cornering lights, etc. A custom order for a GM employee, and made in the last month of production. Very cool car. I posted some pics here a while back...

I know they were fast ... I was just not into their looks ... shallow thinking I know.

My buddy had one and a Corvette ..... and the Buick was faster than the Corvette.

I had a 1965 GTO and I always thought SOME MODELS of the 442's and GSX's of that vintage were a tad better looking with their lines and trim.
