    There’s a guy local to me that has an orange with white striped restored to factory specs. He also has a black one that’s lifted that he daily drives. I’ll see if I can find some photos of them later.

    Oh, and my uncle had a gold one back in the day.

    I believe you are correct. The front fenders drop at the front. Super rare car. For those unaware here’s a little history on the creation of the fenders for NASCAR in 1969.

    Nice! My uncle bought a Y88 Gold SE new in 1978. I was 17 years old and right after he purchased it he drove from New York to Colorado to visit my family. He pulls in the driveway and I’m drooling over this car. He throws me the keys and tells me to go enjoy it for the day. No, yes take it for the day. Ok, so I did. Of course I had to cruise to all the local hangouts all my friends were at. I returned it with a little less rubber on the tires. ;) He never said a word and he knew darn well any 17 year old young man would do that.

    For those unfamiliar the Y88 was a short lived special order car. The opposite contrasting colors to a Bandit black and gold decals. This one was gold with black decals.

    Note the bolted on hood scoop. Holly carb, headers, custom springs all around, repainted with no bird or stripes. Tons of other crap. Good times though.
