I did see that. But I figured if I did a double quote, that might be over the top... hahaha

Real or not, it was amazing to see it. Passenger (right) was set back more than the driver.

Hard to believe a 17 million dollar car would be out driving around on city streets :anonymous:

    Replica perhaps?

This handbuilt custom is up for sale (or auction) in England, right now, I believe. Read about it on Silodrome a few days ago.

Here’s a ‘70 Roadrunner that’s local to me. I’ve seen it on the street a couple of times. First time seeing it in the resting position. Owner wasn’t around to pick his brain on what motor motivates it. Pretty sweet ride with some custom black accents, bumpers etc.

I always liked the one year only 1970 reflective desert dust swirl stripe behind the Roadrunner.

According to the article I read about it, the custom was built a long time ago, when those busses were a dime a dozen.

I don't believe the tow vehicle is customized other than perhaps the tow ball on the bed and maybe the hinged bed sides being removed. VW made pickups that looked like that.

Again, according to the article, it was made from two complete busses, and the tractor unit was built with a 2.7l audi turbo engine for the extra get up and go, and the towing capacity. The pics looked like a very professional quality custom. Not my personal cup of tea, but the quality work was obvious.

I made a slight detour from work today. Only a mile off course, I haven’t checked this speed shop out in a couple of years. They build and do work on classic muscle.

Sure enough two sweet rides out front. Both customers vehicles I was told once I talked to an employee. Both 1969’s and both big block cars. The Camaro is a 396 car but is running a built 454 now. Lots of modern performance stuff underneath with the factory look up top. The Vette is also a big block 427 car originally and the employee thinks it’s got a 396 now. A custom candy apple red paint job. Both beautiful cars.

An old friend I haven’t seen for years. I stole these photos off his Facebook page. Back in the early ‘80’s he had a ‘70 Ford Maverick with a built 302 with gear drive and who knows what else. Totally stripped of all interior weight. One of the fastest cars in my area back then. I’m sure this tubbed and shortened Ranchero is just as bad ass. As is the shortened ‘56 Chevy.
