The Tacoma was kinda strange with that style bed too.

 

Just spotted this sweet 1970 big block 454 Vette. The owners wife was surprised when I blurted out, “sweet ‘70”
She said people are constantly calling out the wrong year.

 

Not a special order. Just another option, pretty sure they called them a step side although not truly one. Saw many in the 1990’s. And yes, pretty ugly especially in the Tacomas as stated above.

There was also what I assume is a WWII Jeep. Inside the gas station there was a notice board from a local club that collects and displays old military equipment.

okay, here me out... maybe it just me but white paint, a 5 on the door and loose that glass bubble top call it the MACH 5... very Speed racer

though that looks like a Thunderbird, and the Mach 5 was "based" on a Thunderbird in some of the early sketches, but also some Ferrari, and the nose of the car was close to a GT40 so who knows

 

Would have been awesome if Pontiac actually made a El Camino / GTO version. This is definitely well executed by someone.

I’ve always daydreamed about building something like this. I had a 78 El Camino that I wanted to put an 80 Pontiac Grand Am front clip on.The El Camino was based in the Chevelle station wagon and the Pontiac Tempest/Chevy Chevelle/Buick Skylark/Olds Cutlass were based on the same design. I know doors would interchange and I’ve always assumed front clips would as well. I might be wrong, but I can dream.

 

I'd like to see a 442 Camino...
