Tonight an old friend and I hit up an annual cruise night in a town that was a regular cruise town until they shut it down in the 90’s. In recent years they’ve allowed one night a year to have this cruise the town event. This year was as big as it’s ever been. Hundreds of hot muscle cars cruising the town with parking lots full all up and down the main drag. I was too busy to take photos. I did however take a few of my friends most recent restoration. A 1972 SS 402 El Camino. A numbers matching big block survivor car basically. A recent paint job and interior is all he needed to do to it. The paint still needs to be color sanded and buffed out.

I had the faint flames put on after someone keyed the passenger side.

 

Nice! They call those Ghost Flames.

 

Yep, I had em I'm a charcoal into light purple to faint silver. I had a tribal pattern on the hard bed cover. I just found a couple more pics too so I'll post it up in a bit.

My wife is on her third Mid-Life Crisis and I am not mad. She had an 07' SRT8 Super Bee. Then one evening we hear that a local dealership had an Alfa Romeo 4C with only 125 miles on it. Went down to see it and she had to, basically, fold herself up to get in and out of the car. While I was standing over the 4C sobbing at my loss at a chance for a sick little raod racer, she had jumped in the silver 16' Highway ta Hellcat and the rest is history. Well, we were at the dealership again, and now she's got a Jailbreak Last Call. I'm sad to see the silver car go but, we were due for some seriously expensive maintenance on it and they gave us a fair amount for the car. And 305's at all four corners on a factory vehicle on the Jailbreak? Hell yeah! Another bonus is all the mods from the silver car will bolt on to the Jailbreak. Except the springs. The Jailbreak is a fatty. (This dealership looked like the storage garage from Gone in 60 Seconds. (5) Hellcats, (1) Hellcat Durango, (1) Shelby (1) 392 Jeep. That Shelby sounded so sick. But, Mustang......no bueno)
