    Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.

    Were the aluminum bodies made in the UK and shipped to the US from UK for mounting here on the production line ?

    I knew a guy a log time ago who worked on those aluminum bodies and he had one of their original "body bucks" to work out the sheet metal kinks.

    13 years later the Aerostar was introduced then went on to sell hundreds of thousands of units over the following decade. Yes it was just as ugly but also cool being a compact van.

    The Comanche is probably one of the best if not the best looking compact truck design of all time. It's my favorite, Jeep AMC who ever really nailed the LC 70 pick up look with the Comanche.


    Edit 13 years not 23. More importantly the Aerostar was vailable with a 5speed manual? 1200 pound payload! Carpet, seat, radio delete and with a credit for each of them?
