    ...^^^... We built 2 of these for the Canadian government for the Pope when he came to Canada for 10 days. Built them and did leap frog transit in a C-130 so he would have a fresh vehicle when his private jet landed in each city. Used all this special Lexan and he rode with the side windows open.

    We had to use this GMC chassis instead of a custom chassis ... GM donated the chassis. The Canadian RCMP scraped a side running board the day before Pope arrived and the shop stayed up all night fixing it.

    I am not Catholic ... but got a chance to meet the Pope & his aides in a small group of 4 of us.

    PS ...Got these pics off the internet and I am looking for some pics of the 2 units when they were on the production floor. Working with that Lexan (cutting, machining, and installing) without scratching it was a challenge.

    Before, I never took photos of my own vehicles (now I do with my Taco :)) and found these old photos and took a photo of a photo to post here.
    My buddy had taken these and given me a copy.

    IIRC ... This is a 1997 911/993 C4S that sounded good and handled like a slot car with its' AWD ... but not super fast in a drag race with 292 HP (IIRC).
    Put about 6K or 7K miles on this car and 1 year and sold it for what I paid for it new.

    The OEM Blaupunkt radio was horrible.

    OK .. thanks ...the only 273 that I ever drove was in a Formula S (with Goodyear Blue Streak tires). It had a 273-235 IIRC ... quick little car & drove it maybe 2 miles.

    Got a ride to junior high school most mornings in my buddy's - dad's Valiant 225 slant 6.

    I can remember sitting in that Valiant on really cold mornings watching the defroster work on the windshield ice, freezing my ass off on those cold seats.
