Thank you. a 12 year restoration - and not quite done yet! Unfortunately, (and sadly) i'm gonna have to look into selling it in the spring. But I did get to use it at my son’s wedding recently. I posted this pic on one of the other threads here but here it is again.

I love it! Let me know once you go to sell it. I’m not sure I can talk my wife into another car but you never know.

    ...^^^... About a 1950 model ?

Mr. Valentine on my paper route had the same vehicle.

...^^^... I always loved those cars and they reminded me of a more dependable version of the XKE.

IIRC ... the 1967 and 1968 models are selling for $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 now.

but they pretty much all looked very similar from 46 to 64 (and even much later in other countries - i think up to the 1970's in Brazil).

and i like your tagline (or whatever it is called)... "I am a strong supporter of Firefighters, LEO's & the US Military. Without these people, you would have no country, no community, no house & no life as you know it now."

...^^^... I thought that the 1949, 1950 and 1951 models had that split-post windshield ... had no idea that it was still on the 1957's.

Thanks ... that's my belief in reality ... layers of protection in real life.

i believe that they changed to the one-piece windshield mid way thru 57 when they went to 12 volt which is when they changed the dashboard as well (the 12 volt ones had a round speedo with integral dummy lights instead of rectangular gauges). I think that the rooofline wBut those later 57's were sold as 58 models. But you seem to know a bit about these - and not many people do, so i am impressed.

...^^^... I always loved cars from grade school and was always drawing them and making models for contests.

I won a small US Saving Bond (maybe $25.00) from GM for a car drawing I did in the 6th grade.

Cars were always my love in life.

The people on my paper route had some cool cars when I was little too ... nothing really fancy ... just classics before their time.
