I was always more partial to the Model A pickups, but it'd be sweet to get a Flathead V8 and warm it up a little.

Have you ever ridden in or driven a model A pickup? They're tiny inside. But they look cool. There's a lot of wood in a model A pickup.

A rare 1982 Chevy Blazer with a factory 6.2L diesel engine and a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission. It used to be mine.

Yep. My grandparents were Model A nuts since the 60's. When I was growing up they had a '30 pickup, then a ?30? convertible pickup, then a '29 Rumble Seat Coupe, and then a Tudor 4 seater.
At 5'7 and 160-ish, they fit me fine

Edit- They were negotiating trading their Tudor for a package deal on a restorable AA flatbed w/a hand crank dump & (I think) a Fordor right around when I got my driver's license, but my Grandfather had a second heart attack and they decided they were too old (mid or late 70's) to still be restoring and maintaining old cars. So they ended up selling the Tudor outright and never replaced it.

A friend of mine had one of these years ago...we called it 'ol Smokey. He eventually got tired of it, and swapped in a 403 Olds gas engine.

I had that 403 in my Toronado. Never met a gas station it didn't like.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing that.

I'm 6' 2" 220 lbs with a size 14 shoe so the model A pickup isn't a good fit for me. My home built '32 Ford roadster pickup (ratrod) was definitely a tight fit for me - but it was so much fin to drive!! They're slightly bigger than the A. I rode in a '35 once but I like the looks of a '36 a little more.

I used to dump gallons of used cooking oil in mine every so often. It smelled delicious when I ran it. Lmao, it was inexpensive fuel for sure.

My friend Mike has the military version but they came with a turbo 400 and no overdrive. It's loud on the freeway. It also has factory front and rear lockers, the 6.2 diesel, factory 24 volt system, and factory beefy AF tow hooks/recovery points.

At that size, you should really be looking at 1945+ cars, I would think. Seems like pretty much everything from the 30's would be fairly cramped, unless you were shopping Duesy's, Cords, Packards, etc.
