I was looking through some old pictures on the 'puter last night, and came across some of the FR-S. This was shortly after I got the car 8 years ago, and on one of my favorite 'roller-coaster' roads.

    FR-S @ 509.jpg

I don't know what I miss more...the car, or the road. The two together were sublime.
I traded this one for the Taco and I've been really jonesin' for a small, rear-drive car again lately. I don't have the cash for another new one of these (and new is the only way I would buy one...a 7500rpm 12.5:1 Subaru engine is a fragile thing, and needs proper care/oil from the start). I do have about $10K Canadian (about 37 cents U.S.) and have been looking for something a little more fun to daily drive than a 2.7 auto 4X4 access cab Taco.
In that price range, I keep coming back to the little 1-Series BMW coupe. I'm going to look at an e82 128i today...

There's a TRD one hanging on the rack at work, funny enough. Nah, I like this truck...

Now that I'm back to work full time, I just want to inject a bit of fun back into the daily commute. The drive is 35-40 minutes each way on some decent country roads. I snagged that little BMW today...couldn't stop myself.

I put sway bars on my old 94 (Hilux) Toyota truck, and it handled pretty darn good too. I also added Bilstein shocks when the originals stopped working after a few years.

But that was in the old days when a southern California company by the name of Performance Products sold out to some huge conglomerate. You could be sure that every product they sold fit, and worked. Dang, I miss that privately owned company. I bought almost everything for my 94 Toyota truck from them.

Well, them and LCE. LCE provided the "performance" products for my 22RE. They are another fantastic company!

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
    ...^^^... (Doing this from memory) ... I test-drove a Barracuda S ... 273 cu in - 235 HP with Goodyear Blue-streaks and a single square exhaust.

It was peppy/quick and had a nice little growl but not super fast. I remember that little car like it was yesterday ... I remembered it because my buddy's dad worked at that Chrysler-Plymouth dealership and he allowed me to test drive that Barracuda and also test drove a Simca.

PS ..... NOS back windows (if you. can find them) on those Barracuda's bring BIG money on the parts websites ... :spending:

Many years ago, a friend's dad had a '67 Valiant 2-door post with that engine and a 4-speed. As basic as you could get...right down to the bench seat and 'dog dish' hub caps. Cool little car.
