    I remember these. A special edition in 1976 called the Bicentennial edition as 200th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. *woop*woop* July 4th 1976, I remember celebrating that July 4th anchored on a boat on Lake Ontario watching a HUGE firework display. :)

    Not sure if I’d trade my K5 for a first gen, but I’d trade for a full removable top second gen.

    72/73 through 75/76 they were full convertible.

    Model year 73, 74 and 75 they had the full removable top however they were “plagued” with early emissions technology at a time when gas was expensive so the power plants they came with were the least desirable.

    From 1969-1975 was full convertible top. In 1976 they went to the half cab where only the rear was removable.
