Love the 1970 Also referred to as the the 70 1/2 due to production being halted until mid year. There was such a huge body design change from the first generation to the second generation they were half way through the year getting to production. I prefer to call them 70 1/2’s. The one you posted is a tire shredding beast with the big block 396 / 375 HP and a 4 speed. The last of the high compression motors. From 1971 on the horsepower ratings dropped significantly. A friend of mine buys 2nd gen Camaros and 1st & 2nd gen Chevelles restores them and flips them like hot cakes. Wish I had photos of some of the ones he’s flipped. I do have a photo of his most recent. It’s got the RS package with the split front bumper. One design I think all of these cars should have had. This one is a 1971 350 auto car. A nice cruiser with lower HP. Another big thing in the 70 1/2’s was the optional LT1 350 with 360 HP.

So this is his latest restoration / flip. A 1971 RS 350 auto. Super low miles that was all original. He did a color change from a green. It has its original perfect white interior. I told him he should put an orange and white houndstooth interior in. He owns a body shop so these flips are easy for him.

Straight out of paint. Prior to the final cut and buff.

That pic of that Road runner reminds me of another old car I used to have which was a 1968 Plymouth Satellite that I converted into a GTX clone . It had a built 440 with an .590 Purpleshaft cam , Edelbrock Victor Jr intake and Holley 850 . What was fun was rowing thru the gears with the hemi 4spd and pistol grip shifter

    Sweet! Lucky you.
Love the pistol grip shifter on B bodies and a bench seat. The curves of the long shifter around a bench seat is nothing short of muscle car heaven. Never had the pleasure of working that shifter personally only a passenger in that HEMI Roadrunner.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I had a 69/70ish gold stingray bike with gold flake banana seat and 4 foot sissy bar (and Bobby Orr rookie cards clothes pinned into the spokes) I remember putting it to the curb. Anyway6BA3EC01-3608-452A-A1DC-7835C6B308BD.jpg

I was thinking what a waste of a very sought after classic Lincoln. But yes, looking beyond that, it is badass.
