I wonder where all of those Azteks went... They must have manufactured more than I ever saw. Did they send them overseas? Crush them and write it off?

Maybe they would have sold some if they put a firebird sticker on the hood.

In all seriousness, whoever did that must have gotten some really creative death threats.

I like that firebird. I love those pre-facelifted models (1970-73) like that one in the picture. I have a 1978 Trans Am and in my opinion its one of the best looking cars ever made in the 70s

I’m actually still waiting for pics of my trans am lol. It’s been up in Michigan for the past few years, sitting in a climate controlled barn under a cover. I’m going up to Michigan this July and probably bringing it back down to North Carolina next summer. July seems to be the only month it doesn’t snow in northern Michigan so the guy taking care of it can only bring it out in July to drive and maintain it. The car was mostly restored around 2011 and I inherited this car in 2013 when I was 11.

here’s some pictures of pictures from 2011-2012

My dad has this car since the 1990s and it has 334,500 miles on the odometer. Well technically since it’s a 5 digit odo its 34,500 :anonymous:

I had a '78 TA exactly like that silver one next to yours when I was 18. It had an auto trans, a red vinyl interior, and rally-2 wheels that I replaced with American Racing Turbines. It overheated and cracked the block at ~50k, so we built a killer 400 for it and added a shift kit to the TH350. I then proceeded to lose my drivers license for racing and other speeding stuff a total of 3 times. The first was for a month, the second for two months, and the last time for six. I sold it at that point and got a '78 Bronco to slow me down. I still miss that car, but I also prefer the looks of the '70 to '73s. To be fair, the late '70s were not a great time for cars in America, and the '78 was slow (before the engine swap) and had terrible fit and finish. It also rusted at the first sign of water. I am still a Pontiac guy, and this is my current Bird:
