There’s no way in hell I’m putting a baby in a car seat in the front seat of a truck with an airbag.

there’s also just about no way you can get two rear facing car seats in a Tacoma and still be able to drive it unless you’re 5 foot tall.

In that case I would rather rely on the assured result of on/off switch lol.

alternatively you can disable it with a scan tool, but I imagine it needs to be techstream compatible..

I would go with the britax. It can be rear facing or forward facing and lasts the longest for the weight requirements. They fit fine in the back seats as long as you don't need your seat or the passenger seat all the way back.

I routinely have 2 car seats in the back, with one using the 'latch' system and one in the middle using the seat belt.

I do this to free up room for storage or for another adult in the back. A normal sized adult has plenty of room and, although I haven't physically attempted it, I'm fairly certain a 3rd car seat would fit back there.

Find a 2-3 yo Sienna with modest miles and all the bells and whistles.

Enjoy it for the next 5-7 years.

While not off road friendly, that wasn't a requirement you mentioned. And it will haul anything a weekend Home Depot person needs. Just have to be more thoughtful about how you toss stuff in.

Ooof yeah that would drive me nuts. The regular AWD ones are cool too but being able to crawl one of those with a low range would be awesome.

Pardon the mess, but again I don’t see three fitting well.

Take advantage of the Tacoma’s great resale value and get yourself a proper family vehicle.

I was asking about car seats and the Taco when I found out my wife was pregnant, someone definitely had 3 car seats across the back but I can't remember who.

Looks like you have 2 of those slim Dionos too. Anyone know if a 4 runner can fit all 3, i know the backseat is more spacious than the taco.

    Thanks

Dude is going to have three kids. Only 2 latch points and even if you could fit 3 of those car seats back there it'll be a royal PITA to get them in once they're older.

Agreed but there are so many variables. How often he has to drive them in the truck, how many at one time he has to drive in the truck, etc. He said that he needs it for hauling so thats a factor. If it was me I would keep it and get a daily for when I have to drive the whole family, but now you are getting into personal finances and a whole bunch of other stuff. At that point you might be forcing it. Pro tip, if you get something, get something with captains chairs in the second row to make life easier.
