Ah good eye there. It's a tacoma specific magnetic mount I bought on Etsy for like $20 which honestly appeases my need and the urge to get a new head unit. Magnet is super strong and doesn't move even off-roading. One of my favorite purchases for the tacoma.

Two vendors make it but I went with the BerryItDesigns - liked the look better and the product had superior ratings.

My brother fits 3 in his, 5 year old in a booster type looking thing, 3 year old in a car seat both in the back and the baby is in a car seat in the front when necessary. I dont have kids so I have no idea what types of seats they are but he makes it work.

First off congrats!! I have 3 kids and we fit in the taco. its all about narrow car sets, we use the Dino Radian 3 r all in one for the two older kids. and a uppa baby bucket for the newborn. I have friends that had twins and with a toddler and used 3 dino R3. They are only 17 inches wide so there is plenty of room. Not going to lie, the first 2 years are going to suck until you can turn them around and get some more room in the front seat.

Yeah man it's clean/subtle and looks like it belongs. Not to mention the window setup or dash top setup is illegal in some states because it impairs visibility or whatever. The only other thing I considered but it was a little overkill in my mind was the vent mount with the RAM mounts but you lose functionality of that vent.

P.S. looks like BerryItDesigns isn't making them right now, but its just a one man shop who its a side business so shoot them a message which works for most people.

Lol at all of you talking about “the only car seat you’ll ever need” I just extracted our original seat from my Impreza in order to install in this truck. Went to set it to it’s final form: Booster and discovered that 5 years of Cheerios and stickers and crayon nubs had melted into a solid fruit-cake like substance.

I went and bought a new 20 dollar booster.

My oldest hit booster-size at 6 and that frees up a LOT of room. No way you can get three Graco seats in the back, even the front facing ones.

Yeah captains chairs are the shit. No need to move seats around to access the rear row. Rented a minivan on a vacation and not gonna lie it was a pretty sweet ride with all the luxury features you get. If I had 3 kids I'd sell my truck, get a tundra and haul a polaris rzr or something instead.

I've debated it. My friend had a new one as a rental and he loved it. My wife hates driving big cars though (we have a rdx) and I've read the longevity issues on new Yukons is still out there (powertrain, electrical issues ~40k mark).

there is a huge difference between two toddlers in boosters plus an infant seat and two rear facing infant seats with one front facing. Three boosters would fit in a taco no problem. It’s the rear facing seats that mess everything up.

Big fan of Acura's have a 2007 MDX with 330K miles on it still runs like a a top just can't get rid of it. Before the Yukon she had a BMW X3 that is probably comparable in size but that thing alway needed something expensive done to it. She wasn't sure about parking etc with a bigger rig, but now she loves it and I doubt I could get her to downsize to anything smaller. Current Yukon is a 2017 with 72K miles on it and we haven't had any issues with it. I know some people say the best way to avoid issues is to do the delete to keep in in V8 all the time.

Downside is it takes more for me to convince her to take the tacoma on long drives/road trips because the Yukon is sooooooo much more plush and comfortable inside with way more amenity features and just room over all. Its like coach vs first class on a plane haha.

That's what my buddy said. They visited some fam in AZ where they had to go on unpaved roads all the time the yukon took it like a champ. Right now the only time the whole family goes in the taco is costco and camping trips lol.

I've been in situations where everyone else is throwing on snow chains and the yukon is plugging along like its a nice sunny day out. I'm with you there on the costco and camping trips, the worst is when we are on a roadtrip and I see a prime offshoot that would be perfect with the Tacoma. If that wasnt sweet enough they are coming out with the Yukon with the AT4 offroad suspension/ package.

The AT4 comes with standard 4WD offers a standard 2-in factory lift, pairing it with Rancho shock absorbers that are tailored for off-road use. Additionally, the AT4 comes with a front skid plate.
