Anyone have a recommendation for a car seat that fits in the back of a four-door third gen, preferably behind the drivers seat?

Need to upgrade from the current "infant" car seat, which barely fits, to whatever comes after.

    Cheers All!

Congratulations on your little one out-growing an infant seat.

Depends on how far front seats are. Double cab is hard to fit full size car seats with people taller than 5’5. Tacoma isn’t my primary vehicle so I use a light weight travel car seat for my toddler. I use a sonus 65 car seat. If you have room I would get a car seat that will last until they can go without any aid. I use a graco extend 2 fit in my sienna. It goes from infant seat all the way to booster seat. Only issue is that the car seats expire around 10 years. But buying a replacement booster is relatively cheap

I used the diano radian 3R. Rear facing and forward facing behind the driver. It was tight I had to move my seat forward a few inches and the driver and car seat touched but it worked. I think I had to flip the base around so there was more wedge for rear facing. I also had one behind the passenger seat but only forward facing. I’m 5’10” for reference.

Also used Dinono 3R (s) forward facing behind the driver's seat and rear facing (now forward facing) behind the passenger.

Also recommending the Diono 3R. We have 3 different seats between 2 vehicles and it's definitely the easiest to get the kids in and out of. Also get some slider/steps if you don't already or your little ones will be messing up the paint :)

I used the Safety First Grow and Go, which fit, and it worked great. The kid is now in a Graco booster, and it fits fine. The infant seat was the hardest to fit for me.
