Possibly a stupid question but my off road premium goes absolutely bonkers with warnings and beeping when I go thru the car wash. Without having to scroll thru menus and change a bunch of settings every time I get the truck washed is there a simple way to silence all the crap.
Second question, is there anyone in Massachusetts who has carista and can help me turn off the seatbelt alarm. Yes I wear my seatbelt, but I manage a horse farm property and frequently drive around the grounds entering and exiting my truck multiple times.

I don't have a 4th gen so I can't answer the question about turning off all the nannies but I do frequent an automatic car wash regularly. I see no reason to preserve a truck that goes off road like it is going to end up in the 2065 Concourse de Elegance one day. Especially yours since it is a work truck on a horse farm. Best of luck!

To each their own. My truck is a work truck and hand washing isn't really possible right now. In my mind a car wash to get the salt off is better than no wash.

I went through an automated car wash before getting my topper and there were no warnings. The kind that has a wheel pully with various forms of wash/wax sections and high speed heated blowers. Went years doing the same with my former 3G. Dealerships have automated washes for delivery. These things were built to withstand that stuff. It is a effing truck. Ignore the above posts.

Try a different car wash. See if anything changes.

When the screen pops up that goes bonkers, at the bottom theres a speaker icon just hit that and it mutes the sounds. Goes back to normal operation afterwards.

I have a sense it’s the younger drivers that use drive through car washes. Probably for the expediency rather than the result. In my experience they never did a good job. Wash it yourself without staring at your phone. You just might enjoy the process.

I do a touchless car wash about every other time I fill up at my neighborhood station. It doesn’t get a quite as clean as the ones slap your car with the rotating brushes, but it’s a happy medium between possibly damaging the trucks paint with a harsh wash and wasting my time with yet another chore around the house that I really don’t want to do.

And also, as said above, it’s a truck. It doesn’t need to look like it came from a show room.

What an out of touch/boomer comment. Totally baseless accusations here.

or maybe some people live in areas where they use road salt and the car wash is the best way to get it off the frame in the middle of winter? Not everyone has a driveway to hand wash in.

Do you have your truck in Neutral? Maybe those warnings are because your truck thinks you are trying to move.

OP I wish I had an answer for you but I sadly have a 3rd Gen so I am of no use. I came to offer my apologies that people can never just answer the question instead of telling you their opinions on why their way of washing their truck is superior to yours and why you need to conform to their truck washing standards….

That is quite an annoying problem you have.

I’m going through the extra touchy car wash today just because of some of the responses in this thread.

That’s when throttle body spacers and cold air intakes work best though

Thank you for a potentially useful answer. I did press the x button at the top but the warnings came back as the vehicle moved thru different sections of the wash.
