I found a nice leather steering wheel in a 97 4-Runner Limited for my Tacoma. It was only $15 at Spalding in Spokane.

    Another R6-Forum member?

And OP, it may be your photog skills but that isn't real carbon fiber.

Ya just looked at it again, definitely not real....

Meh. I can do without it. Specially for $450.

That's a third of an ARB bumper right there.

I've been around carbon fiber for years and it's not weaved like that. That and the high gloss plastic look to it kinda gives it away.

This is the most common weave but a couple companies do change the pattern..... For a steering wheel though, it would most likely be this weave.

Two Brothers is one of the company's that I know of that has a severe variation of the weave

I think he's politely trying to say someone on these boards might have just been ripped off with regards to his new "real" carbon fiber steering wheel.

will this mod translate to a noticeable improvement in the trucks handling? lighter steering perhaps?

    Very nice.

I would like to see someone try to put the 2010 4runner steering wheel in a taco.

Does anything have to be changed to mount the steering wheel (i.e. airbag)?

I don't like the leather wrapped steering wheel in my 08. I find the joints in the leather roll over, causing a bump at the joint.
I even had it replaced under warranty, but the new one is not much better.

    Shawn.
