Carbon heated seat pad trimming/taping question

I added Sojoy carbon fiber heated seat kit a few years ago to another vehicle and I was able to trim the length and also across the middle where the fabric bars go across. This previous kit included a fabric tape to cover the exposed edges of the trimmed part of the heat pad.

This set did not include the fabric cloth tape to cover any parts that get trimmed. Is this tape available separately or is it not needed at all? I can return this kit and get something else, unless this tape is not needed or I can get elsewhere.

* I am aware not to trim the side edges as this is how power is fed to the element.
