    Hey all,

I've spent the last hour searching the forum trying to find information on cleaning the carbon filter on a 4.0L. I've had no luck finding this, though I could probably remove it with my eyes shut. As I live in California and will have to start smogging I don't want to do this. I'd like to clean it as it's dirty as sin (kind of looks like the truck may have been run without the primary for a while).

Hope y'all can help/point me in the right direction.
    Drew

I don't know if it was the right thing to do but, I removed mine. I do this with all my vehicles. Anything to make it a little less rich...

I'll try and get some pictures but we compared mine to another taco with more miles then mine, and mine was filthy by comparison.
