This is a story about Gabbie (Also here) that ran on The Today Show. I very rarely watch TV (much less morning TV) but I was checking on road conditions and this is one of the stories they ran. I generally don't get caught up in stuff like this but this kind of touched me. I talked to my daughter this afternoon after school and we went and we bought her a bear and she made her a card. Being a parent, I can not imagine what it must feel like to have your child come up to you and ask why she isn't included. Gabbie's Mom didn't ask for money or anything... Just a card for her daughter. I try to instill in my daughter that we are all equal no matter our differences. She picked out the bear and made the card. And for this, I am very proud of her.

Maybe if you guys happen to be in a store somewhere and happen to be by the card isle, maybe pick her one up too.

    Take care my friends!

Yep, I am her Dad, Dan. I found this site by accident while searching for Gabbie's original website listing. I was so touched that someone reached out and wanted to do something special and I appreciate your kindness. Ever since I saw this picture of your own little angel holding this gift, I looked forward to giving you a picture in return. I had to become a member of this site to post, though . . . and I confess I don't own a truck. LOL! But, it was worth it . . . as was your daughter's amazing talent and thoughfulness. Thanks for sharing in our story and helping to create what my daughter has now called "Her Christmas Miracle". Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well!

    Yes it is.

It's the gifts that are given that are so much more special than those received. But the gift I received was wonderful. Her picture will stay in my heart :)
