    Looking for general advice...

I bought a used Tacoma from a dealer almost two years ago. They printed the Carfax showing thorough and excellent maintenance intervals and no reported damage. (I still have the printout with my purchase paperwork.)

I went into a different dealership just before New Year to look at new Tacomas. They inspected my truck and pulled the Carfax. This time, it showed reported damage (not an accident) from the year before I bought it. Because of that, the dealer didn't make me a good offer on the trade in and it killed the deal. That dealer printed the report for me to keep, too.

Has anyone experienced this with Carfax before?
If I complain to the original dealer, they're likely to just shrug and point to Carfax. Carfax would also likely just shrug and say that it was reported late or something like that.
Do I have any recourse and with whom? The value of my truck is diminished by this new information, and I'm a bit frustrated about it.

    Thanks for any advice!
