    Other than stopping things from moving around does the bed mat do anything else? Do you have to remove it when hauling stuff like wood, stones, etc?

    I leave mine in when I haul anything to protect the bed..I pull it out once a month and wash the bed out.

    Nice, milk crates are cheap (or free), waterproof, light and hold hundreds of pounds. I’ve used them for years.
