just keep in mind, salt water tends to fade darker colors pretty aggressively. If you don't want them faded, maybe skip the salt water.

I used to do this every time I got a newly issued set of cammies. Would soften them right up, felt like pajamas.

Sorry I was working. Yeah, you guys should totally get the console done. Mine is holding up great. It has a little more padding under it so that helps a lot. I will warn you that the rivets tend to get a little hot but its not enough to bother me. Just hit one when I get in the truck after work in the summer and think WTF but now I am used to it. I would totally go for it though. I get a lot of compliments on the console cover. Take my pic and take your lid off and head to your local upholstery shop with a pair of paints and they should be able to duplicate it pretty simple.

As far as I know Carhartt does not make a console cover. They might for the 3rd gen but they didn't for the 2nd gen. I know wet okole makes a slip over console cover and there are a few on Amazon. The Carhartt one I pictured is one I had done out of a pair of paints to match my seat covers. I also had enough material to cover the arm rest in my door panels.

Just tried getting mine on, overall super disappointed with the fit but I'm going to try washing everything now to see how it changes things.
    Glad I saw this thread.
Can anyone who has these post a picture of their headrest covers? Mine look pretty terrible.

I just bought and installed these in my wife's civic. I'm going to try and readjust them soon but these also fit like garbage. I'm a YouTube certified mechanic so I know I'm not retarded. Some stuff just didn't fit right.
